Team Lion's Choice® Ready for 2006 MS 150 Bike Tour

For the 4th year in a row, Team Lion's Choice is training to participate in the annual MS 150 Bike Tour held in Columbia, Missouri. The 2006 event is scheduled for the weekend of September 9 and 10. Considered by many to be the premier cycling event in Missouri, the MS 150 Bike Tour is a destination event. Cyclists from all over the United States converge in Columbia, Mo. to ride and raise funds for multiple sclerosis (MS) research and program support. For the 2006 event, 3,000 cyclists are expected to raise more than $2.2 million.

In 2005, Team Lion's Choice had a record number of cyclists (53) and raised more than $27,000 for the Gateway Area Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The team plans to make 2006 a banner year by increasing team members and funds raised.

In addition to entering a cycling team, Lion's Choice is also a proud sponsor of the 2-day event. As in 2005, using the Lion's Choice Restaurant-on-Wheels trailer, Lion's Choice will provide lunch for 3,000 cyclists on Saturday, September 9, a retail value of $12,000.00. Lion's Choice also provides a company tent at the event. The tent will serve as a meeting place for Lion's Choice team members before each day's activities and/or at the end of each day's ride to relax and unwind.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) usually strikes adults in the prime of life - between the ages of 20 and 50. It is a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain and spinal cord. One new case of MS is diagnosed every hour.
