Lion's Choice® Presents Check To Morgan Fritz, MDA's 2005 National Goodwill Ambassador

Red Lion Beef Corporation opened their 16th store on April 19, 2006. The store follows a new model designed by Kiku Obata. The prototype design presents a fresh experience without pretense. It is comfortable and simple. Real architecture and real materials speak to the quality of the beef and the care taken during the roasting process. The no-nonsense design ensures quick service, while the welcoming interiors invite customers to relax and enjoy their meal.

During the fundraising month, February 15th to March 19th, each Lion's Choice restaurant offered coupons to customers who had a choice to purchase either a 1$ green or 5$ gold shamrock. For a $1 green shamrock, customers received a coupon for an order of fries with the purchase of any regular sandwich, and for a $5 gold shamrock, customers received a coupon for one free roasted beef sandwich with the purchase of a soft drink and fries. All of the money from the sale of these shamrocks became part of Lion's Choice's donation to the MDA.

By donating to the Shamrocks Against Dystrophy program, Lion's Choice® customers have helped the MDA find treatments and cures for more than 40 different types of neuromuscular diseases. Since Lion's Choice raised more than $1,890, three children diagnosed with muscular dystrophy will be able to attend summer camp. The money raised from this program will also be put towards funding other MDA research and programs (such as support groups) and providing necessary equipment (such as leg braces and wheelchairs) for children and adults who live with neuromuscular diseases.

On May 26th-29th, Lion's Choice will take part in the Labor Day Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon because of their fundraising efforts.
